Hyderabad: A six-year-old girl child was raped and murdered by a man in Peddapalle district of Telangana on Thursday night, Tv9 telugu reported.
The shocking incident occurred at a rice mill in Katnapalli, Sultanabad mandal of Peddapalle district. The man who committed the ghastly act was identified as Balram, a truck driver from Uttar Pradesh.
The accused reportedly abducted the child from a rice mill where she was asleep with her mother. He took her to the nearby bushes, sexually assaulted her and then killed her.
When the girl’s mother found her missing after midnight, she alerted her co-workers and they found her lying dead near the rice mill.
Later, the workers caught hold of Balram and handed him over to the police and a POCSO case was registered against him.
The visuals of the accused man carrying the girl was recorded in CCTV cameras and confirmed that the incident happened at around 11 pm.
The little girl’s body was sent for autopsy to a local government hospital, police said. The family of the child has demanded swift justice in the matter.
