Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Andhra Pradesh CM-designate Chandrababu Naidu on June 12, Wednesday. The ceremony is slated to take place at 11 am and preparations are underway.
PM Modi is also expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Odisha CM on the same day.
Chandrababu Naidu had attended the oath-taking ceremony of PM Modi and Union Cabinet at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. The CM-designate is also intensifying efforts to put his cabinet together based on experience, preference for different social groups and more clarity on the matter is expected by Tuesday, June 11.
Meanwhile, Telugu Desam Party Legislature meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 11 to elect Naidu as the leader. Following this, TDP and Jana Sena and BJP leaders will meet Governor Abdul Nazir to stake claim to form the government.
TDP fought Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in alliance with Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena and BJP under NDA. TDP secured 135 Assembly seats and 16 Lok Sabha seats while Jana Sena secured 21 Assembly seats and 2 LS seats. BJP won 8 Assembly seats and 3 parliamentary seats.
