Pakistan fan asked to leave Hobart stadium for holding Imran Khan’s poster – Watch

New Delhi: A recent video of a Pakistani fan being asked to vacate the Hobart stadium in Australia has gone viral on social media. Along with the video getting viral, it also sparked widespread discussions online between people. This incident happened during the third T20I match between Pakistan and Australia at Hobart’s Bellerive Oval.

The fan, who was dressed in a Pakistan jersey, was holding a poster of former cricket legend and Prime Minister Imran Khan. The poster was the famous one which had Khan lifting the 1992 World Cup trophy. As soon as the stadium steward spotted the fan with the poster of Khan, he issued an ultimatum to him to surrender then poster or leave the stadium.

Fan refuses to comply

The viral video shows that the fan refuses to comply, leading to an altercation between the two when he was asked to leave the venue. The incident triggered varied reactions with some fans criticising the steward’s action while the others hitting out at the fan amid speculations of a move to restore his political image.

Pakistan went down against the Aussies 0-3 in the T20I series while bagged the ODI series 2-1. The next assignment for Mohammad Rizwan’s men will be to take on Zimbabwe in three ODIs and three T20I matches starting this month. The ODIs will be held on November 24, 26, and 28 at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo while the T20I matches will be played on December 1, 3, and 5 at the same venue. The side would be hoping to show up in the upcoming series against Zimbabwe.
