New Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction concluded with a record spending on 182 players. IPL mega auction created a huge buzz, particularly on star marquee players. Rishabh Pant became the most expensive player in IPL auction history, Lucknow Super Giants bought him for 27 crore. Other than big stars, some uncapped players also fetch big bucks in the auction.
The uncapped players are picked up from their performances in the domestic circuit and franchises pick them on their talent and potential and make them crorepatis in the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Most expensive uncapped players in IPL 2025 mega auction:
Rasikh Salam Dar – 6 crore
Rasikh Dar became the most expensive uncapped player in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Royal Challengers Bengaluru bought him for 6 crore, Rasikh is known for his bowling and big-hitting power. He has played for Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals.
Rasikh has played eight IPL matches in his career and took nine wickets. He also played in the emerging Asia Cup and impressed everyone with his bowling as he took nine wickets in just four matches.
Naman Dhir – 5.25 crore
Naman Dhir was back in the hut for Mumbai Indians again for 5.25 crore. Dhir’s performance in the previous IPL season was exceptional and he was bought in the IPL 2024 mini-auction for 20 lakhs. Dhir scored 140 runs in seven matches for MI with a monstrous strike rate of 177.21.
MI scouting team picked him from his performance in a local tournament Sher-E-Punjab where he was the second-highest run-getter with 466 runs with a 193 strike rate.
Abdul Samad – 4.20 crore
Samad is known for his big-hitting abilities and played a finisher role for Sunrisers Hyderabad. RCB made the starting bid for Samad but LSG was determined to acquire him and took the bidding war from 30 lakhs to 4.20 crore.
Samad made his IPL debut in 2020 and impressed everyone with his big-hitting power but he didn’t have a career-defining season so far in the IPL. Samad will look to revive his career with LSG in the upcoming IPL season.
Nehal Wadhera – 4.20 crore
Punjab Kings bought their local talent on day 2 of the mega auction. Nehal Wadhera played two IPL seasons with MI and gave some match-winning performances. MI have invested in Wadhera and now PBKS bought him for 4.20 crore in the mega auction.
Priyansh Arya – 3.80 crore
The Delhi sensation who hit 6 sixes in an over in the Delhi Premier League has been picked up by PBKS for 3.80 crore. Arya was the leading run-scorer in DPL, with 608 runs in 10 matches. Arya came into the limelight when his franchise scored 308 runs in 20 overs, in which Arya scored 120 runs in just 50 balls and also hit 6 sixes in an over in that match.
