Pinni laddu recipe
Ingredients
1 cup atta
½ cup ghee
¼ cup jaggery, grated
¼ cup mixed dry fruits (cashews, almonds, walnuts, pistachios)
2 tablespoons melon seeds
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
1 tablespoon grated coconut
2 tablespoons milk
A pinch of saffron strands
Steps to prepare at home:
Heat a pan and add ghee, melt it well.
Now add wheat flour and let it roast, until golden brown.
While the flour is roasting, chop the mixed dry fruits and set them aside.
Take a separate pan and roast cashews, almonds, and pistachios. Set them aside.
Now add poppy and melon seeds and roast for 2 minutes.
Once the flour is roasted, add grated jaggery to the mixture and stir until it melts completely, also add cardamom powder.
Add the roasted dry fruits, melon seeds, poppy seeds, and grated coconut to the mixture. Mix well.
Let the mixture rest for some time to cool down. If you feel it is too dry, add some milk to bind.
Once it cools slightly, take small portions and shape them into round laddus.
