Andhra-style chilli chicken recipe

Ingredients

For Marination:

500 grams of boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 tablespoon red chilli powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon cornflour
1 tablespoon rice flour
1 egg

For the Masala:

2 tablespoons oil 
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 medium onions, finely chopped
2 green chillies
1tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
Fresh curry leaves
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
Fresh coriander leaves

Steps to prepare at home: 

In a bowl, mix the chicken pieces with ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric, lemon juice, salt, cornflour, and rice flour.
Now add egg to provide a crunchy and crispy texture.
Let it marinate for 1 hour and keep it aside.
Heat oil in a pan and shallow-fry the marinated chicken pieces until golden brown.
Remove the fried chicken and set it aside on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
In the same pan, add 2 tablespoon oil to heat.
Add mustard and cumin seeds and allow them to pop.
Add chopped onion and green chilli, and let them roast.
Now add curry leaves, and ginger-garlic paste and saute well.
Add fried chicken and mix well.
Add garam masala, coriander powder, black pepper powder, soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar.
Toss everything on a medium flame for 5 minutes.
Serve hot with fresh coriander garnish.
