New Delhi: Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah after leading the Reds to another spectacular 2-0 triumph over Manchester City at Anfield. Salah has admitted that his contract dilemma is still on his mind and hints he could be on the verge of leaving the club at the end of the season.
The 32-year-old’s exceptional start to the season continued as he set up Cody Gakpo for the opening strike in the 12th minute and later the Egyptian King dispatched a penalty in the 78th minute following a foul by Stefan Ortega on Luis Diaz to score in his sixth consecutive game.
The victory sees Liverpool move nine points clear at the top of the Premier League standings and 11 points clear of Pep Guardiola’s defending champions. When he was asked about the same after the match he admitted that it was likely his last Anfield meeting with City as he is set to be out of contract next summer.

Salah is yet to get an offer from the club. As it stands, the 32-year-old can negotiate with other clubs in January and could potentially depart Anfield as a free agent in the summer. For the Reds, losing a player of Salah’s caliber would be a seismic blow.
Salah equals Rooney’s record
Mohamed Salah has made another Premier League history. The Egyptian forward has now scored and assisted in a league match a record-breaking 36 times, matching Wayne Rooney’s all-time record.
The Egyptian King joined the club in 2017, having scored 224 times and assisted 100 more in his time at Anfield so far. Since then he has become a vital cog in the attack for Jurgen Klopp’s side also which won the Premier League in 2020 and the UEFA Champions League a year earlier.
Salah has defied age with 13 goals and 11 assists in all competitions so far and remains the club’s third-highest goalscorer of all-time behind Kenny Dalglish (399) and Roger Hunt (270).
