U-19 Asia Cup: Bowlers, openers shine as India crush UAE to enter semi-final

New Delhi: Indian Colts cruised to the semi-final of the U-19 Asia Cup with a resounding 10-wicket victory over the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah. Powered by a superb bowling performance and the sensational opening partnership, India brushed aside their Asian counterparts by chasing down the 138-run target in just 16.1 overs.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the 13-year-old batter from Bihar, who was sold for Rs 1.10 crore in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega-auction, smashed an unbeaten 76 off 43 balls. His opening partner Ayush Mhatre, who went unsold in the auction scored an unbeaten 67 off 51 balls as India cruised to victory with 203 balls to spare.

India became the fourth and the final team to enter the semi-finals. They will face the winners of the league match between Japan and Pakistan.
