Mumbai: The Sensex rose 110.58 points to close at 80,956.33 on Wednesday, while the Nifty was up 10.30 points to 24,467.45 led by a surge in IT, realty as well as banking sector stocks. On the 30-share Sensex, HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finserv, and NTPC were top gainers while Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors, and Adani Ports were the top drags.

The benchmark Brent crude was up 0.34 per cent to $73.91 a barrel on Wednesday. Here are stocks that are likely to remain in focus on Thursday, December 5, 2024:

Adani Enterprises: The group’s defence unit Adani Defence and Aerospace delivered the second surveillance drone called Drishti-10 Starliner to the Indian Navy, in a boost to India’s maritime force capabilities. This UAV resembles the Israeli Hermes 900 medium-altitude long-endurance drone.

Bharat Forge: The Baba Kalyanu-led company launched its QIP worth with a floor price of Rs 1,323.54 per share.

IGL: The gas utility company’s board will meet on December 10, 2024, to consider its first ever bonus share issue, also the first among peers.

Indian Hotels Company: The hotel giant said it was opening a 175-key property Raajsa, Kumbhalgarh, under the SeleQtions hotel brand in Rajasthan. This takes IHCL’s total hotel count in Rajasthan to 29 which includes 8 under development.

PG Electroplast: The company reportedly launched a QIP worth Rs 1,500 corr prices at Rs 690-699 per share.

Swiggy: The food delivery aggregator may reportedly raise Instamart quick commerce delivery charges to break even soon.

Suzlon Group: The renewables giant won an additional 302.4 megawatt wind project from Jindal Renewables in Karnataka. This is in addition to a 400-megawatt (MW) project announced in October, also with Jindal Renewables.

Torrent Pharma: The company is set to acquire 3 brands focused on anti-diabetes medication from Behringer Ingelheim, CNBCTV18 reported.

Vodafone Idea: The company’s British parent Vodafone plans to sell a 3 per cent stake worth Rs 2,841 crore in Indus Towers in a bid to settle debts worth $101 million and clear the Indian entity’s outstanding dues.
