The initial thrust which is required to push the rocket into orbit is provided by the Super Heavy booster. While the missions which are intended beyond Earth and even including potential crewed flights to Mars is provided by the Starship upper stage.
These upcoming tests were followed by a series of successful flights starting from early 2024 where both stages had proved their capabilities by reaching space and returning back on Earth safely.
Space X aims to
This seventh test flight by SpaceX is another step towards its aspiring goal of making space travel more accessible and convenient at the same time.
