New Delhi: After making a muted debut on the stock exchanges on November 27, 2024, NTPC Green Energy shares have been steadily rising and gained around 16 per cent. The scrip was trading at Rs 142.10 at 1:45 pm on December 16.
Giving his views on NTPC Green Energy share, stock market expert Sharad Mishra said that the counter has made significant gains since its debut and the IPO allottes have got excellent profits. Speaking to Money9, the expert said that you can buy this stock if it does not go below Rs 138 and sustains in this zone or when it sustains at the level of more than Rs 154.
Mishra advised the NTPC Green Energy shareholders who purchased the stock at the time of listing to sell their holdings. The NTPC Green Energy shares made a muted debut on November 27 by listing at Rs 111.5 on NSE and at Rs 111.60 on BSE over the issue price of Rs 108.
NTPC Green Energy share: Why December 26 is important date
The Rs 10000 crore NTPC Green’s initial public offering (IPO) opened for subscription from November 19 to November 22. The price band was fixed in the range of Rs 102-108 per share for the issue.
December 26, 2024 will be an important session for NTPC Green Energy shares as its one-month shareholder lock-in will end during the trading session. Around 18.3 crore shares of the company will be freed up for trading on the particular day.
NTPC Green’s operational capacity stood at 3,220 MW of solar projects and 100 MW of wind projects as of September 2024. The projects are spread across six states with an average Power Purchasing Agreement (PPA) period of 25 years.
