New Delhi: Jasprit Bumrah has been arguably the most talked about Indian cricketer on the ongoing Australia tour. The premier pacer is head and shoulders above the rest of the bowlers in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy, outshining the likes of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins, who hold an advantage of playing in home conditions. With 21 scalps in six innings, Bumrah sits comfortably atop the top wicket-takers list in the series but his dismissals are not the only thing keeping him in the news.
Bumrah went viral on social media for his comments during a press conference where a reporter doubted his batting abilities. Bumrah’s response went viral as he asked the reporter to use “Google and see who has got the most number of runs in a Test over.”
Bumrah’s epic comments draws reaction from Pichai and Musk
Bumrah’s epic reply garnered worldwide attention and even Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet and its subsidiary Google, couldn’t help himself from reacting to the post that was widely circulated by the netizens.
Indian-born American’s love for cricket is no secret. Born in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, Pichai dreamt of becoming a cricketer in childhood.
Pichai replied to the video and admitted, “I did Google it.”

He also wrote: “Anyone who can hook Cummins for a six knows how to bat! Well done Jasprit Bumrah saving the follow-on with Deep!”
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk also shared a four-letter comment. “Nice,” on the post.
Pichai then suggested Musk to watch a South Africa vs India match at Newlands or Wanderers. Perhaps, Pichai’s reference to a South African venue was due to the heritage of Musk, who was born in Pretoria, South Africa.
Bumrah picked up nine wickets in the Gabba Test, including a six-wicket haul in the first innings as India managed to salvage a draw with the help of rain.
With the series level at 1-1, both teams will aim to take the lead in the fourth Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) starting on December 26.
