New Delhi: After Australian youngster Sam Konstas’ confrontation with Virat Kohli and his spicy battle with pacer Jasprit Bumrah in the Melbourne Test, his brother Billy Konstas shared pictures with the Team India stars on Wednesday, January 01. Billy and Johnny Konstas, brothers of Sam Konstas, met Kohli and Bumrah at the New Year celebration hosted by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Sydney ahead of the 5th and final Test between India and Australia.
The Aussie Prime Minister hosted both Indian and Australian squads as part of the Glenn McGrath Foundation’s celebrations ahead of the Sydney Test. Billy Konstas shared pictures from the celebrations where the two Konstas brothers were seen posing alongside a smiling Kohli and Bumrah. The post drew the attention of fans as it came in the wake of the Aussie youngster’s heated moments with the Indian duo during the 4th Test.

Sam Konstas enjoyed a memorable Test debut for Australia against India at the MCG where he starred with the bat in the hosts’ first innings. The 19-year-old was fearless in his approach as he took an in-form Bumrah apart en route to his quickfire 60 off 65 balls to help the Aussies post a huge total of 474 runs on the board in their first innings.
Konstas was also involved in a heated exchange with Kohli during his knock after the India star collided with the youngster on the pitch. Bumrah got one over Konstas in Australia’s second innings by cleaning him up cheaply on 8 runs with a ripper. He followed up the dismissal with a cheeky celebration to show the Australian debutant who was the boss.
