The Men in Blue won the first Test by 295 runs at the Optus Stadium in Perth but Pat Cummins and Co. made a stunning comeback and won the second day-night Test by 10 wickets at the Adelaide Oval. The third Test of the series in Brisbane ended in a draw while the Aussies won the Boxing Day Test by 184 runs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
Rohit and Co. need to win the Sydney Test to keep their hopes of qualifying for World Test Championship (WTC) final alive. The Men in Blue slipped to the third position after losing the Adelaide Test. South Africa have already booked their spot in the WTC final after beating Pakistan in the first Test.
