People in cities across Gujarat flock to rooftops and streets to fly kites and engage in friendly competitions which is the friendly rivalry between kite enthusiasts; vying to cut the strings of neighbouring kites.
Families gather on rooftops, enjoy traditional foods like tili laddus, undhyu, and murmura laddu, and host social gatherings. Rooftops become lively venues with music and DJ, where friends and neighbours come together, fostering connections and celebrating the festival together. After sunset, the sky lights up with kandeels trailing behind kites.
