Behold Ram Lalla in ‘Pitambari’: Ayodhya’s 3-day celebration awaits

Mumbai: Ayodhya is buzzing with excitement as preparations are underway to celebrate a very special occasion—the first anniversary of Ram Lalla’s consecration at the Ram Temple. From January 11 to 13, 2025, devotees will come together to enjoy three days of devotion, music, and cultural events.

At the heart of the celebration is Ram Lalla’s beautiful new attire. The Lord will be dressed in a yellow robe called a ‘Pitambari,’ which is made of gold and silver threads. Prepared in Delhi, this outfit represents purity and divine energy, making it a truly special sight for all who come to pray.

A Sacred Occasion for Devotees

This anniversary is a chance for people to feel closer to Ram Lalla and celebrate his blessings. The event is open to everyone, including those who could not attend last year. Special rituals like the ‘Abhishek’ (a ceremonial bath) and ‘Maha Aarti’ (grand prayer) will take place. The ‘Abhishek’ will begin at 10 am on January 11, followed by the ‘Maha Aarti’ at 12:20 pm. These ceremonies are filled with devotion and bring a sense of peace and joy to all.

Stories and Songs About Lord Ram

One of the main highlights is the Ram Katha—the story of Lord Ram’s life and teachings. These stories will be shared by spiritual leaders like Jagadguru Ramanujacharya and Swami Gyananand. Listening to these stories inspires people to live a life of goodness and kindness, just like Lord Ram.

There will also be beautiful cultural performances by famous artists such as Malini Awasthi, Anuradha Paudwal, and Kumar Vishwas. Their songs and poems about Lord Ram will add to the joyful and spiritual atmosphere.

A Celebration for Everyone

To make sure everyone can join, the temple trust has announced that no special passes are needed for darshan (viewing of the deity). This allows anyone who wishes to come and be a part of the celebrations.

Groups from across India will perform devotional songs, or kirtans, at different places in Ayodhya. Additionally, 250 women, led by Sapna Goyal, will recite the Sundarkand, a chapter from the Ramcharitmanas that praises Lord Ram’s deeds and virtues.

A Special Invitation

This anniversary is more than just an event; it is a chance to feel the presence of the divine. Seeing Ram Lalla in his golden-yellow robe, listening to the prayers and music, and being surrounded by fellow devotees will make it a truly unforgettable experience.

The temple trust invites everyone to join the celebrations and take part in this sacred occasion. Whether you visit in person or pray from afar, this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with Lord Ram and feel his blessings in your life.
