New Delhi: Indian captain Rohit Sharma and star all-rounder Hardik Pandya were recently seen training together ahead of the England series and Champions Trophy 2025. In a video going viral on social media, 37-year-old Rohit, who had a disastrous five-match Test series against Australia was seen batting under the lights at Reliance Corporate Park in Navi Mumbai, and Hardik can be seen rolling his arms.
The BCCI has not announced India’s squad for the ODI series against England and the Champions Trophy. Rohit and Hardik are all set to be picked for the eight-team event, which will be played in Pakistan and UAE from February 19 to March 9. The Men in Blue will open their Champions Trophy campaign against Bangladesh on February 20.

The video footage of their practice was posted on social media by a fan and Rohit could be seen batting against the white-ball while Hardik was seen bowling in the nets. Rohit will captain India in the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. He also trained with Mumbai’s Ranji team at Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday, January 14.
However, his participation for Mumbai in the upcoming Ranji Trophy 2024-25 Elite Group A match against Jammu & Kashmir is still unclear. The Indian captain last played a match for his domestic team in 2015 against Uttar Pradesh. Rohit also posted a video of his practice on social media platform Instagram and was seen playing his signature shots against the white ball during a training session.
India’s squad for T20I series against England
Hardik Pandya will fly out to Kolkata for India’s 3-day long training camp on Saturday, January 18 ahead of the T20I series against Jos Buttler and Co. The first T20I of the five-match series is scheduled to take place at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on January 22. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the side in the series while Axar Patel is named as vice-captain of the team. Mohammed Shami also made a return to the national team after a year.
