New Delhi: Former India batter Virender Sehwag and Aarti Ahlawat are in the headlines due to the reports of their separation. As per the Hindustan Times report, the couple have been living separately for several months now and are likely heading towards a divorce.

They got married in the year 2004 and have two sons – Aryavir Sehwag and Vedant. But despite their long marriage, they have grown apart in recent times. Speculations about their divorce intensified after they unfollowed each other on Instagram. The former cricketer shared pictures with his sons and mother on social media during last year’s Diwali celebrations but didn’t mention or post any pictures with his wife Aarti and fans were quick to point that out.

He also visited Vishwa Nagayakshi Temple in Palakkad recently and posted pictures of the trip on his Instagram handle but there was no mention of his wife, which only fueled the speculations.

Virender Sehwag’s wife Aarti filed a cheating case against her business partners in 2019. In her complaint to the police, she alleged that her business partners forged her signature to take a big loan of Rs 4.5 crore from another firm and later defaulted on the payment.

She further added that the accused used her husband Virender Sehwag’s name to influence the creditors and later forged her signatures on the agreement. According to a report, the police registered an FIR against the accused under Sections 420 (cheating and dishonestly), 468 (forgery), 471 (using as genuine a forged document) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.

“Due to the default, the creditors invoked the arbitration clause and filed a complaint in the court. During the proceeding, it was shocking for the complainant to see her signature and partite agreement, which she had never signed,” the complaint stated.

Reports suggest that former India cricketer Virender Sehwag and Aarti Ahlawat have lived separately for several months now, and are likely to divorce after 20 years of marriage.  Cricket Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
