New Delhi: Internet sensation Dolly Chaiwala whose real name is Sunil Patel met Pakistan’s legendary pacer Shoaib Akhtar during an ILT20 match between MI Emirates and Gulf Giants at the Dubai International Stadium on January 31, Friday.
Dolly got an overnight fame after he served the tea to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. His way of serving tea and his outfits made him popular across India and middle-eastern countries. He also has over 4.5 million followers on Instagram.
Akhtar shared a video on his social media where he was with Dolly and Akhtar appreciated the Dolly’s inspiring story and stated him as a lovely character. Shoaib asked him ‘Have you ever seen my matches?’ Dolly replied ‘I am a big fan of your.

Shoaib is currently commentating on the ILT20 league, where Virender Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh are also commentating on the league. Dolly is now seen in two consecutive ILT20 matches and also serving tea for the fans inside the stadium.
ILT20 playoffs scenario
The ILT20 tournament’s league phase is coming to an end and two teams are still yet to qualify for the playoffs. Desert Vipers and MI Emirates have already qualified, where Vipers have booked their ticket for Qualifier 1.
The Gulf Giants ended their league phase with 10 points in 10 matches and are currently in third position in the points table. No team is eliminated from the tournament and today Sharjah Warriorz and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders will play their last matches and if they win their respective matches, then Giants will automatically be eliminated from the tournament by their negative run rate.
Dubai Capitals still have two games remaining and after today’s clash against Knight Riders, they will be playing against MI Emirates and if they win both their matches, Dubai will play the first Qualifier
