New Delhi: Jude Bellingham’s red card in Saturday’s draw with Osasuna has resulted in a two-match La Liga suspension. In the 39th minute, the Real Madrid midfielder was sent off for using foul and derogatory words toward referee Jose Luis Munuera Montero. The “repulsive” insults Montero has since endured was denounced by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) on Tuesday. Bellingham should face consequences for what the RFEF disciplinary committee defined as “attitudes of contempt or lack of consideration towards referees” on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old England international, will therefore miss La Liga games against Girona and Real Betis. The former Birmingham City midfielder said that referee Montero had misunderstood his words and that “there was no intent to insult him.” Real Madrid informed Reuters that they will contest the suspension. While serving his La Liga suspension, Bellingham will be eligible for games in other competitions, such as Wednesday’s second leg of Real Madrid’s Champions League knockout round play-off against Manchester City.
🚨⚠️ Real Madrid are set to appeal the Competition Committee’s decision to ban Jude Bellingham for two games.

Some good news for Real Madrid
A week later, Real will play Real Sociedad in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final. On March 9, Bellingham will be permitted to return to league action against Rayo Vallecano. Real Madrid, the reigning champions, have lost their last three league games. Due to their worse goal differential, Carlo Ancelotti’s team is currently tied for second place with rivals Barcelona on points.
Jude Bellingham will however make his influence felt at Bernebeu, when Madrid face Manchester City tonight, which is a great news for Carlo Ancelotti. Bellingham scored the winner at Etihad, which was Madrid’s first ever win in Manchester City’s home. Bellingham has been a fantastic asset for the Spanish giants with 21 goal contributions in all competitions already so his absence might be a big factor for Ancelotti’s side.
Jude Bellingham’s red card in Real Madrid’s recent Laliga encounter against Osasuna has resulted in a two-match ban for the English midfielder in the league. Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
