National Science Day Speech
Good morning, everyone.
It is a great honour to stand before you today as we celebrate National Science Day, a day dedicated to recognising the invaluable role of science in shaping our world. This occasion is particularly special as it marks the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C.V. Raman in 1928—an achievement that earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics and contributed significantly to scientific advancements.
Science is the foundation of progress. It has transformed the way we live, work, and communicate. From the discovery of electricity to the breakthroughs in medicine, space exploration, and artificial intelligence, science continues to push the boundaries of what is possible.
However, science is not just about great discoveries or famous scientists. It is about curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. It is about questioning the world around us and seeking solutions to the challenges we face, whether in healthcare, climate change, or technology.
On this National Science Day, let us celebrate not only the achievements of the past but also the potential of the future. Let us encourage young minds to embrace scientific inquiry, to dream big, and to use knowledge for the betterment of society.
As Albert Einstein once said, “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.”
May we all continue to question, explore, and innovate. Happy National Science Day!
Thank you.
Science Day speech in Hindi
Namaskar!
Aaj hum yahan Rashtriya Vigyan Diwas ke uplakshya me ek sath ikattha hue hain, jo vigyan ke mahatva aur iske yogdan ko manane ka ek avsar hai. Yeh din 28 farvari ko manaya jata hai, kyonki isi din 1928 me Prasiddh Bhartiya Vaigyanik Dr. C.V. Raman ne apni mahan khoj Raman Prabhav (Raman Effect) ki ghoshna ki thi, jisne unhe 1930 me Nobel Puraskar dilaya.
Vigyan sirf prayogshala tak seemit nahi hai, balki yeh hamari roj ki zindagi ka ek mahatvapurn hissa hai. Aaj jo tarakki hum dekh rahe hain—mobile phone, internet, chikitsa vigyan, urja srot, aur antriksh anusandhan—sabhi vigyan ki hi den hai.
Par vigyan sirf khojon tak seemit nahi hai. Yeh ek sochne ka tarika hai, naye prashnon ko uthane aur unke uttar dhundhne ka ek madhyam hai. Humare samaj ko aage badhane ke liye yuva pidhi ko vigyan aur takneek me ruchi lena avashyak hai. Hum sabhi ka kartavya hai ki hum naye vaigyanikon aur shodhkartaon ko protsahit karein taki ve naye avishkar karein aur duniya ko ek behtar sthal bana sakein.
Jaise Albert Einstein ne kaha tha:
“Sabse zaroori baat yeh hai ki aap prashn puchhna band na karein. Jigyasa hone ka apna ek mahatva hota hai.”
Aaiye, is Vigyan Diwas par hum jigyasa, anveshan aur nayi khoj ki bhavna ko apnaayein aur ek vikasit aur takneek-pradhan bhavishya ki aur badhein.
Dhanyavaad! Jai Hind!
Science Day speech for students
Good morning, respected teachers and my dear friends.
It is a great pleasure to stand before you today and speak on the occasion of Science Day. This day is celebrated every year on 28 February to honour the remarkable discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C.V. Raman, a discovery that earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. His work was a milestone in scientific research and continues to inspire many young minds.
Science is all around us. It is in the technology we use, the medicines that save lives, the energy that powers our homes, and even in nature’s simplest wonders. Without science, the modern world as we know it would not exist. From the invention of the wheel to space exploration and artificial intelligence, science has shaped our lives in incredible ways.
But science is not just about inventions and discoveries—it is about curiosity and the desire to learn. It is about asking questions like: Why is the sky blue? How do airplanes fly? Can we find a cure for diseases? The more we question, the more we understand, and the more we innovate.
As students, we must embrace scientific thinking—not just in textbooks but in real life. Science teaches us to be logical, creative, and problem-solvers. Whether you dream of being a doctor, an engineer, an astronaut, or a researcher, science will always play a vital role in shaping your future.
Let us use this Science Day to celebrate curiosity, innovation, and discovery. Let us be inspired by the great minds of the past and strive to build a better future through science and technology.
As Albert Einstein once said, “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” So let’s keep thinking, exploring, and innovating!
Happy Science Day to all of you! Thank you.
