New Delhi: News9’s pathbreaking ‘Indian Tigers and Tigresses’ initiative, India’s largest football talent search, made an exciting stop in Kolkata, marking another milestone in its journey to discover and train young footballers across the country. The initiative aims to identify boys and girls aged 12-14 and 15-17, providing them with an exceptional opportunity to hone their skills and advance to the international stage.
The trials in Kolkata took place at Orchids The International School, Joka, where a sea of eager participants gathered, coming from different regions to display their footballing abilities. The event was a spectacle of passion and talent, as young hopefuls dribbled, passed, and struck with precision, each one vying for a chance to progress to the next stage of the competition.
Parents cheered on from the sidelines, delighted by the incredible opportunity their children were part of. The excitement was palpable, as the talent hunt presented these young footballers with a platform to shine and potentially change their futures amidst their peers and have an opportunity to train with the best in the field in Austria.
Divided into the age groups 12-14 and 15-17, the trials saw brilliant performances, with the best talents moving to the next. The outstanding performers from Kolkata will now move on to a two-day camp in Delhi, where they will compete against the finest young footballers from across India. The camp now moves to Srinagar where more talented youngsters will get their last chance to be part of the initiative.
