New Delhi: The Friday Night Smackdown was the final event in the build up to the WWE Elimination Chamber PLE in Toronto, Canada. It created the hype for the event, which is the one for WrestleMania 41.
After their meeting in the middle of the ring last week, Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) asked Cody Rhodes to be his champion. The Rock will be waiting to seek an response from Rhodes by Saturday, leaving the WWE champion to make a decision as both of them will appear in the Elimination Chamber event.

The Rock send a new red truck with a video message to Rhodes to convince him for the offer while the latter was closing on the show at the Friday Night Smackdown.
Meanwhile, LA Knight proves as the top contender for the United States Championship following his win in the triple threat match against Jacob Fatu and Carmelo Hayes.
Bayley took the risk with the jumps out of the ring, coming on various opponents, in the six-woman tag team match.
Jacob Fatu, who received the spot from Solo Sikoa, in the first match of the tournament, which was announced by GM Nick Aldis. Fatu was against Andrade El Idolo and their match went in different directions before Jacob applied the Moonsault to advance in the tournament.
The second match of the United States Championship No.1 Contender, LA Knight pinned Escobar for the win. Later, Sikoa and Tama Tonga showed up to divert the attention of Barun Strowman while he was dominating his bout against Carmelo Hayes. With the use of the steel chair, Hayes used a smart trick to deceive the referee’s attention and throwing an impression that Strowman attacked with the chair, prompting the referee to disqualify the latter. As a result, Hayes progressed.
