New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken strict action against some of Team India’s support staff, relieving them of their duties ahead of the team’s England tour. The swift and decisive move reportedly comes after the humiliating loss endured by Team India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Australia.
According to an India Today report, assistant coach Abhishek Nayar, who was appointed only eight months ago, has been sacked by the board along with fielding coach T. Dilip and strength and conditioning coach Soham Desai also getting fired. The report also states that a team masseur has been shown the door as part of the overhaul as well.
