CMRL slows down tunneling as station works are delayed

Meanwhile, in an unusual scenario, the delay in the construction of stations has forced the Chennai Metro Rail Ltd (CMRL) to slow down the Tunnel Boring Machines in a few locations. The machines have already completed tunneling in a few locations and are waiting to enter the station site. The delay is because CMRL, had to cancel six tenders floated for construction of stations, as the companies had quoted higher prices.
