Vijayawada: TDP Supremo and incoming CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday declared that Amaravati will be the capital of Andhra Pradesh at NDA meeting in Vijayawada.
The MLAs of TDP-JSP-BJP met at the A-Convention Centre and unanimously elected Chandrababu Naidu as the CM candidate and Atchan Naidu announced that Naidu was elected as the TDLP leader.

The leaders and activists of the 3 parties worked together one hundred percent. Winning 93 percent seats in an election is rare in the history of the country. People blessed with 57 percent votes in the elections. All of us have to become more responsible.”
‘Centre’s cooperation essential for state development’:
He further said, “Prime Minister Modi and NDA leaders are attending the oath ceremony. The time has come to work for the public. Central cooperation is essential for the development of the state. Central leaders have said that they will fully cooperate with the state. He also stated that Andhra Pradesh is in ruins and it is their responsibility to give it a new life.
Speaking about the capital, he said, “There is no such thing as three capitals. Amaravati will be the capital. Let’s make Visakhapatnam a financial and modern capital.”
This comes after a concept of three capitals was floated by the previous YSRCP government with Amaravati being the Legislative capital, Visakhapatnam the executive capital and Kurnool as the judicial capital.
NDA alliance won 165 Legislative Assembly seats and 21 Lok Sabha seats collectively. TDP by itself won 135 Assembly and 16 LS seats.
