New Delhi: Afghanistan pulled off a famous victory in the T20 World Cup 2024 by defeating Australia by 21 runs at Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown, St Vincent on June 22, Sunday. In a high-voltage game, Gurbaz and Stoinis couldn’t handle their emotions and were involved in a heated war of words.
The battle started in the first innings when Stoinis came to bowl in the 16th over. Australia were looking for their first breakthrough of the match. It all started from the second ball of the over where Gurbaz hit the length ball back to Stoinis, and The Hulk gave him a stare but Gurbaz smiled and ignored the stare.
On the next ball, Gurbaz hit a huge six over deep mid-wicket, in the fifth delivery Stoinis got his man at the deep square leg by David Warner. The Hulk gave a hilarious send-off to Gurbaz after dismissing him.
In reply, when Stoinis came to bat, Gurbaz exchanged some words from behind the stumps. Stoinis was seen struggling in the match and played many dot balls before getting dismissed in the 11th over on a short ball from Gulbadin Naib. Gurbaz took the catch by running back, Stoinis departed for a 17-ball 11 and ended the exchange between them.

Afghanistan stunned the World Champions
Afghanistan defeated mighty Australia by 21 runs in their second game of Super Eight. Australia invited the Afghans to bat first, and their opening stand made another century partnership, both openers Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran made a half-century and posted 186 runs for six wickets.
In response, Gulbadin Naib’s four-fer and Naveen-ul-Haq’s three-fer stunned the world champions Australia. Glenn Maxwell gave Afghans some flashbacks of the ODI World Cup but this time Maxi couldn’t finish the game and played a lone warrior innings of 59 runs in 41 balls.
