Lesbian Couple Celebrating Birthday Gets Thrashed by Mob in Canada, Sustains Injuries

Canada: A lesbian couple was allegedly thrashed in Canada’s downtown Halifax by a group of men in what is perceived to be a “homophobic attack”.

The victims identified as Emma MacLean and her girlfriend Tori Hogan were celebrating the former’s birthday when a group of men allegedly indulged with them in a verbal assault. Afterwards, the mob became aggressive and allegedly thrashed the lesbian couple as per the video, which has surfaced on the social media platform X. 

The attack on the lesbian couple has left them with multiple bruises, a broken nose, and lumps over their bodies.

Emma also shared a picture of hers on her Facebook account where blood dripping from her nose to her mouth is clearly visible. 

“One particular individual, wearing a red shirt with a walking boot, initially made a sexually degrading comment to me,” Emma wrote. 

“My partner Tori and this man got into a verbal altercation where this individual made several disgusting slurs, some being homophobic,” she added. 

Emma mentioned that around seven to 10 men allegedly went on to attack them. She also stated that the altercation turned physical when they tried to confront the group of men who were passing offensive remarks towards them.    

“The outcome of this attack has resulted in a broken nose, chipped tooth, several bruises and lumps on our head, faces, etc,” she said. 

A bystander had recorded the video where a woman is heard saying “Hey, she’s a girl, stop!”. 

Another bystander had alerted a nearby officer on patrol but the mob had already left the incident spot at that time.
