After FC Barcelona’s departure, Real Madrid Foundation to open grassroots academy in India

New Delhi: Real Madrid have recently been looking to develop their fanbase and promote the Los Blancos philosophy around the world. They reached out to different Asian countries to build their foundation or grassroots academy to help nurture young talented individuals in the Los Blancos structure.

Indian Madridistas have been looking forward to an official academy for the past decade, and the good news has finally arrived for them. As per reports, Real Madrid has joined a partnership with Conscient Sports.

Conscient Sports is a premier football academy that had partnered with FC Barcelona previously. However, multiple surveys have suggested that the academy did not produce the required results expected by the fans and academy players. Hence, people are sceptical about the news.

Nevertheless, Real Madrid’s football philosophy has been one of the most successful projects, winning numerous accolades in the past decade. Arguably the greatest European club in the world, the partnership brings a certain notion of hope to the country.

India have seen a rise in various grassroots programs, but only a few have worked out so far. Real Madrid’s winning mentality and disciplined philosophy can bring a unique element to the Indian grassroots football stratosphere that has been lacking for a few years.

The Real Madrid football training methodology combines traditional football principles with modern ideations and facilities. It focuses on providing a nurturing and unique experience to talented kids and their families, keeping mainstream educational ethics in mind. They try to help the players develop their skills, increase social and communication skills, and grow leadership qualities.

Los Blancos icon and media spokesperson, Emilio Butragueno praised Conscient Sports for their continuous effort to bring top-quality programs to India. He said: “Real Madrid’s legacy of excellence finds a perfect partner in Conscient Sports, whose unparalleled expertise and dedication to grassroots development in India are second to none.

He further added, “Conscient Sports’ extensive knowledge of the Indian football landscape and their relentless pursuit of excellence make them the ideal ally for our mission. There is no better partner in India to help us realize our vision of nurturing young football talent.”.

This is a great opportunity for the young talented kids to garner themselves under Real Madrid’s project.

Last month, FC Barcelona shut shop in India, shutting down academies in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi and Bengaluru. It was seen as a hammer blow for the Indian grassroots development programme as Barcelona ended the football operations following a 14-year-long stint in the country.

Real Madrid Foundation, in partnership with Conscient Sports, is opening a grassroots academy in India to nurture young talent through Los Blancos’ philosophy and principles.  Sports Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
