What happened to Microsoft services
Laptops and computers running on Microsoft witnessed their screens turning blue around 12 pm on Friday owing to a service outage at Microsoft. The computer screens showed the Blue Screen of Death accompanied by repeated shut downs and restarts.
This is not a new problem since many users face this problem on a daily basis. However, this time the problem has occurred on multiple systems across the world, bringing services and operations to a halt.
Almost all services of MS hit by outage
Microsoft services affected by the outage include:
MS Windows
Microsoft Teams
Azure
MS-Store and cloud services
Microsoft 365.
What is Blue Screen?
Also, called a black screen error or stop code error, a Blue screen error happens when there’s a hardware or software issue. Experts say that if this problem persists, then the computer can be started in safe mode. Apart from this, the operating system should also be updated.
Companies are also facing issues related to Crowdstrike, a cybersecurity platform. Its Falcon software, which is widely used on MS systems, has led to the Blue Screen of Death on systems.
Other sectors affected by the strike include:
Banking
Aviation
Media
All companies have notified users about the glitch adding that they are working on solutions.
