New Delhi: The country’s largest public sector lender, State Bank of India (SBI) gives higher interest rates to bank account holders on special Fixed Deposit (FD) schemes. The lender gives higher rate of interest on ventures like SBI Amrit Vrishti FD scheme, SBI Amrit Kalash scheme, SBI We Care FD scheme and SBI Sarvottam scheme. Lets see how much interest rates general and senior citizens currently get on these four special FD schemes and what the deadlines are.
SBI Special FD Schemes
SBI Amrit Vrishti Scheme
This is the most latest amongst the four SBI Special FD Schemes launched by the largest public lender. General citizens get 7.25 per cent rate of interest on SBI Amrit Vrishti Scheme, while, senior citizens are entitled to get 7.75 per cent rate. The tenure of this time deposit is of 444 days. March 31, 2025 is the last date to apply for SBI Amrit Vrishti Scheme.
SBI Amrit Kalash FD rate 2024
The SBI Amrit Kalash FD interest rates (2024) currently stand at 7.10 per cent for general citizens and 7.60 per cent for senior citizens. SBI’s 400 days (Amrit Kalash) special fixed deposit scheme’s last date is September 30, 2024. The public sector bank had launched the scheme on April 12, 2023.
SBI We Care FD scheme
SBI We Care FD scheme for senior citizens carry one per cent additional interest rates. SBI We Care FD interest rates in 2024 currently stand at 7.50 per cent for people above 60 years of age. While, general citizens currently get interest rate of 6.50 per cent . The tenure of this SBI Special FD Scheme is 5 years to up to 10 years.
SBI Sarvottam FD Scheme
SBI bank account holders can open SBI Sarvottam FDs for two different tenures. First one is of 1 year time period and the other is of 2-year tenure. General citizens can get 7.10 per cent rate on this special term deposit scheme for 1 year. On 2 years tenure, depositors can get 7.40 per cent rate of interest. On the other hand, senior citizens currently get 7.60 per cent on such FDs of 1 year tenure. While, they will get 7.90 per cent rate of interest on those with 2 year tenure. These rates are only applicable on SBI Sarvottam FDs of above Rs 1 crore to less than Rs 2 crore.
