New Delhi: Paris Saint Germain has received confirmation from Victor Osimhen to pursue his signing. The 25-year-old forward wants to move away from Napoli, though the deal is much more complicated for him. PSG failed to convince Napoli to part with Osimhen a year ago, and the negotiations failed.
Two offers of over €100 million were made, but both were rejected, as Napoli wanted to keep some of the key players who had been integral to their Serie A 2022-23 title win. The club clarified that the former Lile OSC forward wasn’t leaving below his €130 million release clause.
After a disappointing season in which Napoli ended 10th in Serie A and crashed out of the UEFA Champions League, the club has now put Osimhen on the market. It is being reported that the Serie A side is trying to make a move for Romelu Lukaku. According to media sources, Napoli wants €110 million for Victor Osimhen, who recently threatened to miss training sessions for his move to Paris. PSG is not ready to meet the price for the striker.
PSG are not keen to offer more than €80 million for the Osimhen. They have rejected Napoli’s next offer, which was €90 million, along with Lee Kang-in. It has been reported that PSG are interested in keeping Lee and have reportedly rejected a €70 million offer from a Premier League team for the player.
Rumours about Victor Osimhen’s move to PSG intensified when Napoli manager Antonio Conte excluded him from the squad for their friendly match against Mantova despite the striker’s lack of fitness issues. However, PSG supporters may not see a new striker this summer. PSG may not recruit a new 9 as Luis Enrique is set to start the 2024-25 season alongside Goncalo Ramos and Randall Kolo Muani. No offers have been made for any of PSG’s strikers, which means Napoli’s plans to replace Osimhen look far-fetched for now.
The Serie-A team wants to part ways with Victor Osimhen but the transfer is far more complicated than it appears on surface. Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
