On the day of Sankashti Chaturthi, devotees are advised to take a bath in the morning and resolve to observe the fast. The worship of Lord Ganesha should be performed with full rituals, offering sesame seeds, jaggery, laddus, and sandalwood to the deity. Gajanan is also very fond of Durva grass and Modak, so these items should not be forgotten. After these offerings, chant the ‘Om Gan Ganapataye Namah’ mantra, recite the Ganesh Stuti, Ganesh Chalisa, and Sankat Chauth Vrat Katha.
