New Delhi: A 38-year-old Russian social media influencer died in a motorbike crash in Turkey. Her red BMW motorcycle was crashed into a truck. According to the Turkish media outlet Türkiye Today, Tatyana Ozolina was travelling from Mugla to Bodrum when her bike crashed.
She lost control of her bike and collided with a truck near Milas. She was pronounced dead at the scene despite the immediate arrival of the emergency services. Onur Obut, a Turkish biker who was accompanying her, survived the accident but suffered major injuries and is in hospital.
The authorities are still investigating the reasons behind the fatal accident. Tatyana Ozolina also known as MotoTanya, was a popular Moto Vlogger with over 2 million subscribers on YouTube, 1 million followers on Instagram and 5 million on TikTok.
She is also known as ‘Russia’s most beautiful biker’ for her global bike adventures. In her last Instagram post, Ozolina said that she was upset because she didn’t manage to ride around Europe. She also thanked Turkey for their Hospitality.
“4000 km from home. Greece missed me but didn’t miss my motorcycle. I was in Greece on foot. I bought a magnet and returned back to Turkey. I was upset that I didn’t manage to ride around Europe, but not much) because I knew that the situation could be like this. Therefore, I moved on. conquer beautiful, hot and hospitable Turkey,” she said in her post.
According to The Sun report, Ms Ozolina was struck by another rider group and had to brake immediately after which she lost control of her bike and crashed into a truck. Her family including her son aged 13 ‘is in a state of shock’ after her death.
