Washington: Former US President and Republican Nominee Donald Trump said in a campaign rally that he is ‘much good looking than his rival for white house Democratic nominee Kamala Harris ‘
“I am much better looking than her. I think I’m a better-looking person than Kamala,” Trump said at an election rally in Pennsylvania, which is one of the battleground states that will determine the race.
Trump seems to be triggered by a column written by Peggy Noonan in The Wall Street Journal which described Harris as beautiful.
Peggy Noonan, the columnist, wrote, ‘It’s impossible to take a bad picture of her. Her beauty, combined with the social warmth that everyone who knows her speaks of, creates a true radiance.’
‘You’re not allowed to say that anymore. David, don’t fall into this trap,’ Trump said referring to Republican Senate candidate David McCormick. ‘Never call a woman beautiful, it’ll end your political career.’, stated Trump
Trump remarked on Harris saying, ‘I’m better looking than Kamala. I’m more attractive than her,’ while mocking a sketch of her on a Time magazine cover, ironically confusing it with actresses Sophia Loren or Elizabeth Taylor.
Recently, Trump has intensified personal attacks against Harris, calling her a ‘lunatic,’ ‘crazy,’ and questioning her ethnicity. Trump even claimed that he is entitled to these attacks because she makes him angry and has labeled him as ‘weird’.
