Arteta’s Arsenal start title chase in style, fans react

New Delhi: Arsenal have been runners-up for two consecutive seasons and were very close to claiming the Premier League title. They are one of the strongest teams that could displace Manchester City as reigning champions and win the top-tier of the English football league for the first time since 2003-04. This was clear when they won 2-0 against Wolves on Saturday to open their campaign.

Everyone, including former English footballer Alan Shearer, believes that Arsenal are one of the strongest sides to win the title this season. However, some critics maintain that the club should have included another centre-forward. Arsenal manager Arteta maintained that the new season is different and that they have enough talent to write “a new story.”

Fans and Arteta were both impressed with Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz as the duo scored in the team’s victory over Wolves. Saka assisted Havertz’s header in the 25th minute to open the scoring before Havertz assisted in the second half for Saka’s 74th-minute goal. Arteta voiced his praise on Saka and drew a comparison between the English footballer to Argentina legend Lionel Messi. Arteta was also happy with Havertz’s performance and maintained that the 25-year-old had earned respect in the club and played confidently in the opening game. Fans, too, were impressed with the duo in Arsenal’s opening game of the tournament.

It will be worth seeing how Arsenal go from here and win their fourth title in the Premier League competition. Arsenal have been one of the most successful teams in the tournament over the last couple of seasons and looked all set to win the tittle last season, but fell short due to a poor spell during the Christmas time.

Arsenal have been runners-up in the last two season and fans hope that Arteta’s men can finally cover the final stage to win their first Premier League title since 2003-04.  Football Sports News: Latest Cricket News, Cricket Live Score, Sports Breaking News from Sports Today
