Wildfires in the Herault region of southwestern France were brought under control after it burned more than 300 hectares, local firefighting authorities said on Monday.
About 350 firefighters were deployed overnight between the villages of Gigean and Frontignan, southwest of the coastal city of Montepellier, according to the emergency services.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fires.
