New Delhi: The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) website – https://irdai.gov.in/ is not working and users are unable to access it on August 21 (Wednesday). When a user is opening the website, a message is getting displayed on the screen ,which reads: ‘services aren’t available right now. We’re working to restore all services as soon as possible. Please check back soon’.
Notably, the Irdai website went down a day after the firm asked insurance companies to upload verified Know Your Customer (KYC) details of their existing policyholders to the Central KYC Records Registry (CKYCRR) website.
The insurance regulatory body has made it compulsory the use of CKYCRR for both insurance agents and mutual fund distributors.
