New talent pools
Rhodes opened up on the potential of the league and said that it would help identify a new talent pool at the state level.
“Observe how the IPL has elevated Indian cricket to a new level. At the State level however, what happens below the IPL is not as important as what occurs in the majority of Indian States which now produce their own leagues and talent pools”, said Rhodes.
High-quality infrastructure for youngsters
Sharma, the first Indian to take a hat-trick in international cricket, also stressed the need to provide high-quality cricket infrastructure and opportunities for budding players. With the presence of marquee players, the youngsters will get the perfect opportunity to learn from the best of the business.
