New Delhi: After the culmination of his tenure as the head coach of Indian cricket team, Rahul Dravid is set to wear his coaching boots again as Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals have announced him as the new head coach. Dravid will return as the head coach of the Sanju Samson-led franchise for the 2025 edition of the cash-rich league.
According to a report in ESPNcricinfo, Dravid has signed a deal with the franchise after have initial round of conversations ahead of the upcoming mega auction. Dravid, who guided Team India to T20 World Cup 2024 triumph in June, has been on a short break since then and is expected to get back to action soon.

Dravid’s long-standing association with RR
Dravid has a long association with the Royals franchise having captained it in 2012 and 2013 before serving as the mentor for two more years. In 2016, Dravid moved to the Delhi Capitals assuming a similar role before moving to the National Cricket Academy taking up the charge as the head.
In the years 2021, Dravid made a big jump by moving away from the NCA and assuming the role of India head coach, replacing Ravi Shastri.
