Know more about the Olympic-Paralympic power couple
Hunter Woodhall and Tara-Davis Woodhall are known to be high school sweethearts. According to the Paralympic.org, the pair met for the first time at the Simplot Games Indoor Athletics Meet in Idaho in 2017. It was Tara who approached Hunter after he completed his 400m sprint at this meet.
Since then the duo has been inseparable despite seeing some of the highs and lows together. The Woodhalls have been in a long-distance relationship when they were competing for different universities.
“We bring a lot of diversity into our relationship, and we want to be really transparent about that. Tara is a woman of colour. I have a disability. We want people to know that whoever you are, whatever situation you’re in, it’s okay and that’s what makes you special and unique,” Hunter said in an interview in 2021.
