Canadian MP Jagmeet Singh Faces Off with Protesters After Being Heckled, Video Emerges

New Delhi: New Democratic Party (NDP) leader Jagmeet Singh confronted protesters outside the Canadian Parliament on Monday, September 16, after being verbally attacked. The confrontation occurred when someone in the crowd called him a “corrupted bas****.”

A video shared on X (formerly Twitter) captured the moment, showing at least two protesters trailing Singh in a parking lot. One of the protesters questioned Singh about whether he would support a motion of non-confidence against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government.

As Singh continued to walk, someone in the group insulted him, prompting Singh to turn back toward the protesters. Clearly agitated, Singh pointed at them, repeatedly asking, “Who said it?”

When the men denied making the comment, Singh accused one of them of being a “coward” for not voicing his criticism directly to his face.

As he walked away, one protester was heard saying, “With that aggression, is that why you’re choosing war with Russia?”

Prior to his political career, Singh worked as a criminal defense lawyer in the Greater Toronto Area.
