PM Modi US Visit LIVE: Prime Minister Embarks On 3-Day Trip, to Attend QUAD Summit

PM Modi is set to present India’s model of domestic development at the upcoming Summit of the Future at the United Nations next week, the country’s envoy said on Friday.

“I think his message will be India’s example of our own domestic development story,” said India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, in an exclusive interview with PTI.

As Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarks on a 3-day US Visit, he issues a departure statement expressing his eagerness and excitement to meet US President Biden and members of the Indian diaspora, attending the Quad Summit and addressing the Summit of the Future at the UN General Assembly.

“Today, I am embarking on a three day visit to the United States of America to participate in the Quad Summit being hosted by President Biden in his hometown Wilmington and to address the Summit of the Future at the UN General Assembly in New York. I look forward joining my colleagues President Biden, Prime Minister Albanese and Prime Minister Kishida for the Quad Summit. The forum has emerged as a key group of the like-minded countries to work for peace, progress and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region,” he said.

Key issues on the agenda include regional stability in the Indo-Pacific, discussions on ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, and concerns of the Global South.

PM Modi emplanes for the US, where he will be attending various programmes, including the Quad Summit, a community programme, addressing the Summit of the Future and other bilateral meetings.
