Ravindra Jadeja scripts history, beats R Ashwin, Kapil Dev to achieve remarkable feat

New Delhi: Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scripted history as he became the fastest Indian to complete 300 wickets and 3,000 runs in Test cricket. Jadeja achieved the remarkable feat during Day 4 of the 2nd Test between India and Bangladesh at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur on Monday, September 30. Jadeja beat the legendary Kapil Dev and R Ashwin to become the fastest to the rare double in Test cricket.

Jadeja completed 300 wickets in Test cricket after dismissing Bangladesh tail-ender Khaled Ahmed caught and bowled during the the visitors’ first innings on Day 4. The all-rounder became only the third Indian after Ashwin and Kapil to complete the double of 3,000 runs and 300 wickets in the longest format.
