New Delhi: Team India skipper Rohit Sharma had a hilarious reaction to Shivam Dube’s imitation of Virat Kohli. India’s T20 World Cup 2024 winners Rohit, Dube, Suryakumar Yadav, Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel recently made an appearance on the ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ on Netflix where they spilled some secrets about the Men in Blue’s glorious campaign.
During one of the segments on the show, the cricketers were asked to imitate their teammates and Rohit had to guess the name of the cricketer. Dube was asked to impersonate Kohli, however, he ended up failing miserably. Nonetheless, Rohit somehow managed to pick a clue and guessed correctly that he was copying Kohli.
Rohit came up with a hilarious comment after guessing Kohli’s name correctly and told Dube his acting was ‘ghatiya’. “Maaf karna bohot hi ghatiya acting hai (Forgive me but your acting was terrible),” Rohit told Dube, leaving the audience and his teammates in splits. The clip of Rohit’s hilarious reaction to Dube’s acting went viral on social media.

During the show, Axar too struggled to imitate MS Dhoni before Suryakumar Yadav stepped in and did a perfect impersonation of the former India captain’s iconic helicopter shot which helped Rohit guess his name correctly.
No Shivam Dube in India-Bangladesh T20Is
Dube was selected in India’s squad for the upcoming T20I series between India and Bangladesh. However, he was ruled out of the three-match rubber ahead of the 1st T20I between the two sides on Saturday, October 05. The all-rounder was sidelined from the series due to a back injury and has been replaced by young batter Tilak Varma.
India will take on Bangladesh in the 1st T20I at the Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior on Sunday. Suryakumar & Co. will look to get off to a winning start to help India continue their dominant run having thrashed the visitors 2-0 in the two-match Test series.
