New Delhi: For Manu Bhaker walking in a straight line is a piece of cake. After all, the Haryana shooter knows how to keep focus on the front sight with both eyes open in a straight line. Effortless and graceful, the double Olympic medallist looked like a professional model in her first-ever attempt at ramp walking. Bhaker showed up at the Lakme Fashion Week in Delhi and just like at the Paris Olympics won hearts with a scintillating display.

Bhaker owned the ramp in a glittering show for clothing brand Marks & Spencer at the Lakme Fashion Week in a stunning outfit.

Recently, she was honoured at Lady Shri Ram College for her achievements in sports.

The 22-year-old Haryana shooter etched her name in history books by becoming the first Indian athlete in the post-independence era to clinch two Olympic medals in a single edition of the Games.

She claimed the bronze in the women’s 10m air pistol before replicating the feat in the 10m air pistol mixed team event — where she had paired with Sarabjot Singh.

Bhaker missed out on a hat-trick of bronze medals by a whisker, finishing fourth in the 25m pistol event.

The Olympic hero recieved a hero’s welcome upon arriving back home as the crowd flooded the Delhi airport. She was named India’s flag-bearer alongside hockey icon PR Sreejesh at the glittering closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics.
