New Delhi: Budget carrier SpiceJet on Wednesday announced the launch of 8 new flights on domestic routes effective November 15, 2024. The airline will expand the flights to 4 routes. This will take the total number of new flights launched by SpiceJet to 40. In October, the air carrier had announced 32 new flights which included 2 international flights on the Delhi-Phuket route.
SpiceJet has opened bookings for the new flight routes. Passengers can book their tickets on the company’s official website or mobile app or via third-party aggregators.

SpiceJet has announced 8 new flights on the following 4 routes:
Jaipur-Varanasi
Jaipur-Amritsar
Jaipur-Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad-Pune
The new flights will offer greater flexibility and convenience to passengers, said SpiceJet chief business officer Debojo Maharishi. SpiceJet will fly 78-seater Q400 jets on the 4 new routes.

SpiceJet’s long-term rating was recently upgraded to B+ by Acuite Ratings & Research. The airline’s short-term rating was also upgraded to A4 with a Stable outlook. SpiceJet will conduct its annual general meeting before December 31,2 2024 after receiving an extension to this effect from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
SpiceJet introduced turnaround plans recently to overcome liquidity issues and problems posed by grounded aircraft. The airline raised Rs 3,000 crore via a qualified institutional placement which was oversubscribed 87X. The company also cleared its dues related to tax deducted at source from employees last month which amounted to Rs 310 crore. The airline, which has been locked in disputes with aircraft lessors has gradually settled these cases while also repaying pending dues to its staffers.
