The snowfall on Tuesday ( November 11, 2024) was witnessed in parts of Kashmir making authorities close down the vital routes. However, the photos from the day went viral on the internet and attracted a lot of tourists to witness the beauty of snow in the mountains.
The recent snowfall in the higher regions of Kashmir, such as Affarwat and Sadhna Top, signals the start of winter in the valley after a prolonged dry period. While Srinagar and the lower plains experienced rainfall, the snow in the higher altitudes marks the official onset of the cold season.
