Sao Paulo: Brazil’s First Lady, Rosangela Janja Lula da Silva, took a jab at entrepreneur-billionaire Elon Musk during a G20 social event in the South American nation on Saturday where she was speaking about the need to regulate social media to curb misinformation.
As she started speaking, a ship’s horn sounded, and she joked, “I think it’s Elon Musk,” and further added, “I’m not afraid of you, f**k you, Elon Musk.”
Musk, owner of the social network X, reacted to a video of her remarks by posting a laughing out loud emoji graphic.
In the same post musk added, “They are going to lose the next election,” referring to President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
Brazil’s next presidential contest is in 2026. Notably, leftist Lula had a razor-thin victory over his far-right predecessor Jair Bolsonaro in the previous polls in 2022.
