Perth Test: Check out the timing for India vs Australia 1st Test match

New Delhi: The much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which has been dominating the headlines since a while now, is just couple of days away from start. Both India and Australia have been training rigorously ahead of the series opener at Perth on November 22. Fans in both the countries are eagerly awaiting the start of the much-anticipated tournament, which once again reignites the rivalry between the two cricketing powerhouses.

For India, it will be a very crucial five-match series keeping in view the qualification for the World Test Championship (WTC) Final. Since the Rohit Sharma-led side went down in the last home series against New Zealand, suffering a humiliating 0-3 series loss, they would be aiming to regain their form and show up in the upcoming series.

Rohit’s participation all but uncertain

Rohit, who became a father for the second time, will not be available for the series opener and should join the team ahead of the second Test match at Adelaide. The skipper is currently in Mumbai attending to his personal commitments. For all the cricket fans who will be travelling to the stadium and for those as well who would be enjoying the live action from their homes, all would have to wake up a bit early to enjoy the terrific action from Perth.

Here are the timings for the first Test

1st session – 7.50am to 9.50am.
2nd session – 10.30am to 12.30pm.
3rd session – 12.50pm to 2.50pm.

In absence of Rohit, Jasprit Bumrah is the next contender to lead the Indian side in the first Test match before the skipper returns from India. Abhimanyu Easwaran and seasoned veteran KL Rahul are the two players who are in the queue to fill in the shoes for the skipper in the opening. Virat Kohli, who has become a sensation in Australian media before the beginning only, will be a treat to watch on the pitches Down Under, where he has a fabulous record.
